By paying for a request you (the operator of the agent or software making the purchase) accept these terms.
Caption402 reads the audio of a video or audio file at a link you provide, transcribes it with automatic speech recognition, optionally translates it with a language model, and returns timed captions (SRT, WebVTT) and a transcript. It is priced per minute of media and paid in USDC via the x402 protocol. The exact price is shown before payment, and payment is taken only when captions are delivered. Captions are machine-generated and may contain errors; review them before publishing.
The media is read once to extract the audio. The audio is sent to our speech recognition and translation provider for processing and deleted from our server as soon as the job ends. We do not keep your media. Caption files are kept for 24 hours at unguessable links so you can download them, then deleted.
We may refuse any request at any time, block the paying wallet address and related wallets, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Rights holders can report misuse to abuse@caption402.com; please include the media link and the time of the request, and we will act promptly, including removing any stored caption files.
We keep request records (paying wallet address, time, media host and path, duration, languages, result) for up to 90 days to handle abuse and disputes. We do not require names or email addresses.
The service is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, availability, speed, or suitability for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected request. You will indemnify us against claims arising from media you submit or your violation of these terms.
